PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology enhancing the whole weight to the maximum degree in a space utilizable for a counterweight. SOLUTION: A notch for inserting a weight is not provided on a pair of left and right vertical beams 21L, 21R of the counterweight 20 of the present invention. Further, a dimension in a left/right direction of adjustment weights 22L, 22R is made to a half of that of a main weight 11. Thereby, since the adjustment weights 22L, 22R can be attached to a portion provided with a notch in a conventional counterweight, the whole weight can be enhanced to the maximum degree in the space utilizable as the counterweight.
