<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave absorber capable of widening an absorption range of electromagnetic waves while reducing thickness. <P>SOLUTION: A porous magnetic layer 2, a resistor layer 3, a lossy layer made of a porous magnetic layer 4, and a conductor layer 5 are laminated in a platelike shape in the sequence viewed from an incident plane of electromagnetic waves.
