A dehydration control apparatus of a washing machine and a control method of the same are provided to reduce vibration and noise caused by the false application of the allowable UB volume by sensing the change of the dehydration volume and differently applying the allowable UB volume. A dehydration control method of a washing machine is composed of a step(SP2) of calculating a first load volume and a first UB volume of the first reference speed in the dehydration mode; a step(SP3) of comparing the first UB volume with a first allowable UB volume corresponding to the first load volume; a step(SP9) of detecting the second load volume and the second UB volume by accelerating the washing tub up to the second reference speed, and decelerating the washing tub to the first reference speed; a step(SP10) of comparing the second UB volume with the second allowable UB volume corresponding to the second load volume; a step(SP15) of detecting the third load volume and the third UB volume by accelerating the washing tub up to the second reference speed, and decelerating the washing tub to the first reference speed; and a step(SP17) of comparing the third UB volume with the allowable UB volume corresponding to the third load volume, and recognizing the final dehydration condition according to the comparison result.
