PURPOSE:To improve wetting of surfaces of plastic moldings with blood and to prevent clouding with water vapor, by making only the surfaces hydrophilic with sulfated alkyloyloxy groups formed on the surfaces using sulfuric acid. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of rigid plastic moldings containing alkyloyloxy groups, e.g. vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, etc., are treated with preferably >=80 wt.% concentrated sulfuric acid, e.g. dipped in the sulfuric acid for 1 hr, to sulfate the alkyloyloxy groups present on the surfaces. |
