A fermented fruit is provided to show excellent anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the type 1 hypersensitivity reaction such as urticaria, atrophic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, pollinosis, allergic rhinitis, and bronchial asthma induced by IgE and inhibiting the NO generation of macrophage inducing inflammation, and be useful for preventing and treating diabetes by inhibiting maltase. The pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating diabetes comprises fermented fruit by lactic acid bacteria or enterobacteria. In the composition, the fruit is selected from the group consisting of apple, pear, peach, plum and blue-berry, and the fermented fruit is obtained by adding the lactic acid bacteria or enterobacteria to a suspension of a freeze-dried material of fruit and then fermenting it.
