PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high efficiency of dressing work and improve resistance to wear of a rotary dresser to prolong its service life. SOLUTION: This rotary dressing device 10 is provided with the rotary dresser 12, a rotary driving device 16 for rotating the rotary dresser 12, and an ultrasonic vibration device 18 for vibrating the rotary dresser 12 by ultrasonic waves. While rotating the rotary dresser 12 by this device 10, it is vibrated by ultrasonic waves in the direction C vertical to a rotary shaft of itself, and impact caused by ultrasonic vibration is given to a rotary grinding wheel 20 arranged in the direction C to perform dressing while crushing binding agent of abrasive grains of the rotary grinding wheel 20.
