PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader or the like which has a small-scale configuration and is easily operated, and imposes less load on a network. SOLUTION: When reading an image by an image reading part 160, the image reader connected to the network informs an information processor connected to the network, of the address of image data of the image by an STMP device 170. When reference request is made by the information processor, the image data are transmitted to the information processor by an HTTP server device 180 in response to the request.
