IMPROVED PLAYBACK CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DVD PLAYER, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which allows a player application to be used for controlling a DVD navigator program, and uses a simplified and unified interface. SOLUTION: The method makes an API selectively produce a bookmark including a current state of a multimedia navigator program to a multi-media content playback process, and hands over the bookmark to the multimedia player application and thereby the player application correctly attaches the "bookmark" by location during a playback period, so that the playback can be restarted afterward from the location with the selected bookmark.
