PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device which can be assembled without any backlash even when dimensional accuracy of a dial base and an ornamental part are not so high. SOLUTION: The switch device has a cylinder-shaped guide member 3 fixed to a base plate P, a cylindrical dial base 6 provided rotatably to the guide member at an outer peripheral side of the guide member, a cylinder-shaped ornamental member 7 fitted to an outer periphery of the dial base, and a cylindrical elastic member 8 interposed between the outer periphery of the ornamental member and the inner periphery of the ornamental member. A tapered face 6b pinching the elastic member is formed between the inner peripheral face of the ornamental member and itself, of which the diameter becomes gradually small as it is headed to insertion tip part of the dial base.
