PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always properly correct a signal of a defective pixel without increasing complexity of a defective pixel detection process or a circuit scale when using a solid-state imaging device capable of selecting a read mode for adding signals of a plurality of pixels. SOLUTION: A defective pixel information holding part 140 stores position information of a defective pixel which is detected when a normal mode of successively reading all pixels is selected. A defective pixel correcting part 160 corrects a corresponding signal of the pixel in a picked-up image signal obtained by the solid-state imaging device, at a correction timing based on the position information stored in the defective pixel information holding part 140. When a pixel addition mode is selected, a correction signal generation part 130 converts the position information stored in the defective pixel information holding part 140 so that the position information matches a pixel arrangement of the picked-up image signal obtained by the solid-state imaging device in the pixel addition mode, and outputs the correction timing of the defective pixel correcting part 160 on the basis of the converted position information.
