PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact tool capable of achieving low noise operation without causing lowering of fastening capability. SOLUTION: In the impact tool, a rotary impact mechanism is mounted on a spindle 7 driven by a motor 2, and a rotary impact force is applied to the tip end tool 4 by intermittently transmitting the rotary impact force generated by the rotary impact mechanism from a hammer 8 to the tip end tool 4 through an anvil 3. Buffer members 20, 23 absorbing the vibration in at least radial direction are provided on at least one side of both end support parts in the axial direction of the spindle 7. For example, a rubber ring 20 is interposed as a buffer material between a bearing 18 rotatably supporting a rear end part 7c of the spindle 7 and an inner cover 19, and an O-ring 23 is interposed as the buffer material between a front end part 7b of the spindle 7 and the anvil 3 rotatably supporting it.
