<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical digitizer capable of performing touch detection at a place near a detection plane. <P>SOLUTION: The optical digitizer which detects an instruction position coordinate of an instruction object on the detection plane has a light source for emitting light beams, a retroreflection member for performing retroreflection of the light beams emitted from the light source provided at the periphery of the detection plane, an imaging means for detecting directions of shadows generated by shielding the retroreflection light from the retroreflection member by the instruction object and an image forming lens for forming an image of the retroreflection light in the imaging means and has mirror means for bending the light beams emitted by the light source at right and left of the image forming lens. Alternatively, a mirror means is provided for bending an imaging visual field on the front surface of the imaging lens and light sources is provided at right and left of the mirror means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
