PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote operation unit adaptive to multifunction of an equipment to be operated using less number of buttons and switches for good operativity when used by a user. SOLUTION: A remote operation unit for operating an animation recording device is provided with a rotary ring 2. Either "view" mode, "recording" mode, or "dubbing" mode is selected according to the rotational angle of the rotary ring 2.
