PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform door device capable of correctly announcing the next operating content of a platform door to passengers in advance before the operation of the platform door to ensure further safety on a platform. SOLUTION: Display bodies 205, 215 are provided above door pockets 200, 203, 210, 213 of platform doors, or doors 201, 202, 211, 212, and the display bodies 205, 215 inform the approaching state of a train at the time before the train 100 reaches the platform. Further, the display bodies 205, 215 display the state of the opening/closing operation in order to allow the passengers to concentrate their consciousness to the platform door operating state. In addition, the operating state of the doors is also informed to the passengers even on the train side, the display bodies 205, 215 display nothing during the closing operation of the platform door in order to allow the passengers to concentrate their consciousness to the door operation on the train side when the train is started.
