THROTTLE CONTROL RESPONSE SELECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle controller and a throttle control method for allowing an operator to select performance characteristic of the throttle controller of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle having an internal combustion engine provided with throttle control is disclosed. The throttle controller 20 generates a throttle adjusting signal for adjusting vehicle speed by corresponding to a driver of the vehicle. An input device 50 controlled by the driver generates a selection signal corresponding to the relation selected from among many predetermined engine control relations. A controller 60 responds to a selection signal for adjusting speed of engine operation by depending on the selected relation and a throttle setting signal SS. The throttle controller 20 has different performance characteristics with respect to each of the relations and can be adjusted by the operator to increase or decrease vehicle speed with respect to each of the relations.
