PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for adjusting the assembly of a camera module, capable of efficiently adjusting the assembly of a lens and a solid-state imaging element, etc. SOLUTION: The assembly adjustment apparatus 30 for a camera module 10 equipped with a plurality of lenses 15 and the solid-state imaging element 18, for adjusting the lenses 15 and the solid-state imaging element 18 related to the camera module 10 includes a lens adjustment means 50 for adjusting light L incident on the lenses 15 and adjusting the lenses 15 in accordance with the optical ring state of the reflected light which is reflected and returned through the lenses 15, and a solid-state imaging element adjustment means 70 for imaging an inspection chart 71 by the solid-state imaging element 18 and adjusting the solid-state imaging element 18 based on the state of the imaged chart image. Thus, it is unnecessary to separately adjust the lens and the solid-state imaging element by the corresponding assembly adjustment apparatuses, and the adjustment can be efficiently performed by one assembly adjustment apparatus.
