PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent hermetic rotary compressor of good compression efficiency. SOLUTION: This hermetic rotary compressor is provided with a delivery hole opening and closing control mechanism 57 operating interlocking with rotation of a rotary shaft 4 of a rotary compression element 5 and opening a direct delivery hole 60a to a compression chamber 51a only during a predetermined period in one rotation of a rotary shaft 4 and closing the same during rest period.
