<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article managing system for taking measures for article users to surely return lent articles when not returned. <P>SOLUTION: The article managing system comprises articles to which non-contact IC tags are attached, a non-contact IC tag reader, a user IC card, an IC card reader, a managing server communicatively connected to the non-contact IC tag reader and the IC card reader, and a computer system communicatively connected to the managing server via a network. The managing server has an article takeout detecting means, a return time limit registering means, a return determining means for determining whether the article is returned or not within a return time limit, and a means for specifying a user IC code from identifying information received from the IC card reader and restricting the usage of a network system using the user ID code to be impossible when the return determining means determines that it is not returned within the return time limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
