PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactive ultraviolet light-absorbing agent capable of imparting weather resistance to a resin, etc., having good reactivity with other monomers and easy for handling, and a reactive emulsifying agent used for an emulsion polymerization, and capable of imparting weather resistance to a polymer. SOLUTION: This reactive ultraviolet light-absorbing agent is expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>4</SP>are each independently H, hydroxy or a 1-18C aliphatic hydrocarbon which may contain oxygen atom; and A is an allyl or methallyl group] and the method for producing the same is also provided.
