<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high affinity IL4 antagonist which suppresses eosinophillic inflammation and can be used to treat, prevent or diagnose allergic reactions, and use thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides a composition containing monoclonal antibodies having a high titer for human IL 4, for use in diagnosing allergies and other conditions associated with excess immunoglobulin E production in a human. A sample of biological fluid is brought into contact with the monoclonal antibodies having a high titer for human IL4, and subsequently, the occurrence of binding between the monoclonal antibodies and human interleukin 4 is assayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
