PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a driver from directing his/her vision more than necessary. SOLUTION: This navigation device comprises a vision detection sensor detecting the vision of a driver. When the driver directs his/her vision to a monitor of a navigation device during driving, it is detected, so that an operation prohibition key is brought into a non-display condition, or the entire monitor is brought into a non-display condition, so as to change the display condition of the monitor into a restricting mode. In the case other than when the driver directs his/her vision to the monitor during driving, the navigation device performs displaying in a normal mode without restriction. Therefore, when the vehicle stops, even if the driver directs his/her vision to the monitor, displaying is performed in the normal mode.
