<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety sensor capable of detecting fire quickly and reliably at an early stage. <P>SOLUTION: The safety sensor comprises a CO sensor 16 which is driven in a pulse-like manner, a fire sensor 15 housed in the same casing as the CO sensor 16, and a pulse interval control means 20 for changing the pulse interval of the CO sensor 16 in response to a signal from the fire sensor 15. Changing the pulse interval of the CO sensor 16 in response to the signal from the fire sensor 15 serves to prolong the life of a battery when it is used as a power source for driving, and to reliably detect a fire abnormality at an early stage by changing the timing of detection of the CO sensor 16 in abnormal situations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
