摘要	The present invention relates to the genetic manipulation of the expression of the AGL11 gene and homologs thereof in order to alter protein or oil levels in a seed of a crop plant. The downregulation of AGL11 is associated with an increase in protein concentration in the plant seed. Conversely, upregulating the AGL11 gene is associated with an increase in oil concentration in the plant seed.
