<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security of a system utilizing web services. <P>SOLUTION: An AP 11 of a user terminal 1 transmits a request for authentication to an authentication server 2. When the authentication server 2 authenticates the AP 11, a session key used for encryption and decryption is transmitted to the user terminal 1. When a job server 3 receives a request for sign-on to a service component 32 from the user terminal 1, the job server 3 transmits a request for authentication of the service component 32 to the authentication server 2. When the authentication server 2 authenticates the service component 32, the authentication server 2 transmits the same session key to the job server 3.
