The loudspeaker unit (10) includes a sound transducer or diver (11) and an amplifier (20) mounted in a cooling ring (15). The amplifier increases the intensity of signals from a signal generator. The signal generator and amplifier are mounted before the driver in the direction of sound propagation and dissipate heat to the cooling ring. A funnel-like horn (26) is mounted after them. A combination of two loudspeaker units is described.
