摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing metal powder where, metal powder comprising a Co-Sn intermetallic compound obtained by compounding Co and Sn in an objective molar ratio with high purity and, when being applied, e.g., to a material composing the electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery, capable of improving the characteristics of the lithium ion secondary battery can be easily and securely produced, to provide metal powder produced by the method for producing metal powder, to provide an electrode obtained by using the metal powder, and to provide a lithium ion secondary battery having excellent service capacity and cycle properties. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing metal powder comprises: a first stage where a melt obtained by melting Co and Sn at an objective molar ratio is powdered by an atomizing process, so as to obtain primary powder; and a second stage where the primary powder is heat-treated by a heat treatment apparatus in figure 1, thus a Co-Sn intermetallic compound obtained by being compounded at a molar ratio other than the objective molar ratio in the primary powder is changed into a Co-Sn intermetallic compound obtained by being compounded at an objective molar ratio, so as to obtain secondary powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
