This device (10, 20) for acquiring a dental radiological image (I) comprises an intrabuccal sensor (10) and a control unit (20) capable of controlling the intrabuccal sensor (10) for initiating the acquisition of an image (I), storing it, and transferring it to at least one computer (30, 30') via wireless digital communications means (22). This device comprises controlling means (25) capable of: keeping the image (I) in a memory (26) if no wireless communication with at least one computer (30, 30') has been correctly established, and; transferring this image (I) to at least one computer (30, 30') once the communication is correctly established.
