PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fulfill respective demands such as the improvement of cutting-edge strength, that of sharpness, and the reduction of cutting resistance while allowing a worker to use a throwaway tip vertically and imparting functions similar to those of a positive-type tip and a negative-type tip by achieving multi-functionalization of the throwaway tip, and also, to fulfill a demand for the increase of the number of using corners. SOLUTION: The throwaway tip has a first ridgeline 5 at a position where the upper part 4a of the side face 4 along a first face 2 intersects with the first face 2 and a second ridgeline 6 at a position where a second face 3 intersects with the lower part 4b of the side face 4 along the second face 3 respectively. A first cutting blade is formed with the first ridgeline 5 by making the first face 2 a first rake face and a second cutting blade is formed with the second ridgeline 6 by making the lower part 4b of the side face 4 along the second face 3 a second rake face respectively.
