PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which power consumption during a blanking period is reduced, and the generation of flickers is reduced. SOLUTION: A selection circuit 20 is arranged between a control circuit 18 and a signal line driver circuit 14, where the selection circuit 20 converts a digital image signal into a white digital image signal during the blanking period.
