PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To most economically and effectively use lactic acid waste generated in a process for producing a polylactic acid with saving cost required for plant and equipment investment in disposing and recycling treatments. SOLUTION: A raw solution of lactic acid waste, a regenerated lactic acid solution prepared by solubilizing residual lactides or fermented lactic acid itself is used as the herbicide. The lactic acid waste solution generated in the polylactic acid manufacturing process, the regenerated lactic acid solution or the fermented lactic acid solution is sprayed as a raw solution or by properly diluting the same.
