PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the rim detachment resistant performance while suppressing degradation of the rim assembly performance. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has bead portions having a bead base surface Sb seated on a rim base surface of a rim, and a bead outer wall surface Sw which is continuous to a bead heal point Ph located on the outer end in the tire axial direction of the bead base surface and supported by a flange surface of the rim. In the tire meridian section including the tire axis, the bead base surface Sb consists of a straight base part 20, and a protruding circular arc part 21 which is protruded in the radial direction inward of the extended line N of the base part 20 to the bead heal point Ph from an outer end 20e of the base part 20. The protruding circular arc part 21 has a radius of curvature of from 0.20 to 0.33 time the base width W1 in the tire axial direction of the bead base surface Sb, and a height Hd from the extended line N of from 0.067 to 0.13 time the base width W1 in the tire width direction of the bead base surface.
