PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature that can easily correct dynamic balance at a rectifier 5 side. SOLUTION: The balance correction of the armature is conducted by eliminating part of a prescribed rectifier piece 7. In other words, the dynamic balance is corrected by forming an eliminator by eliminating the axial end of the rectifier piece 7 that is exposed to the outside from a mold resin 6 by using a cutter 10, and by reducing the mass of the rectifier piece 7 by a balance amount that is measured in advance. In this balance correction method, the correction of the dynamic balance is easy since the method is implemented by eliminating the part of the rectifier piece 7 that is a cause of the generation of imbalance at the rectifier 5 side. Since the part of the rectifier piece 7 formed of a metal material large in gravity (copper, for example) is eliminated, the balance correction reduced in an elimination amount is possible. Furthermore, since the axial end of the rectifier piece 7 that is out of a range where a brush contacts with the piece is eliminated, without having effect upon rectifying performance, thus enabling the correction of the dynamic balance.
