PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paving method capable of having high fixed strength of wood chip, obtaining a pavement abounding in durability without separating the wood chip with the travel of a vehicle or the like and obtaining the paving method with fine workability in the paving method making use of the wood chip. SOLUTION: The wood chip obtained from driftwood or the like is mixed with soil having more than 30% of water content, and after at least the surface of the wood chip is in a swelling state, a consolidated agent containing polymer emulsion is mixed with the mixture, the mixture is leveled on a base course 1, and it is rolled to obtain the pavement 2.
