<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying a radio link from terminal equipment to a radio communications system. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes a first step which determines value of parameter of n≥2 radio links, whereby the parameters of each radio link are suitable to quantify at least an aspect of the quality of service of the radio link, they are generic QoS parameters, usable by different radio network technology. In a second step, a value of metric is calculated for each radio link by using associated determined QoS parameters. In a third step, n≥2 values of calculated metric are compared, and one of the radio links identified as a radio link which offers the best quality of service. This method identifies radio link which offers the best quality of service to predetermined application in heterogeneous network characterized by distinct radio access technology. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
