PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve mounting with high precision while securing flexible performance and to easily machine an end into a 45°surface etc. SOLUTION: A hard clad part 14 which has a larger coefficient of bending elasticity than that of a soft clad part 12 is provided at an end of the soft clad part 12 on a light-propagation-directional side. Consequently, when a macromolecular optical waveguide film 10 is mounted on a sub-mount 72 of an optical transmission/reception part 70, an end of the macromolecular optical waveguide film 10 does not deform even if it is picked up or it is pressed against the sub-mount 72. Accordingly, an alignment mark formed at the end of the macromolecular optical waveguide film 10 is prevented from shifting and position relation between cores 16 at the end is prevented from changing.
