PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal vibrator in which reliability is improved by preventing a characteristic defect caused by a solder used to bond a vibrating chip and a connecting electrode, adhering to the connecting electrode. SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric vibrator comprising a piezoelectric vibrating chip, an air-tight terminal including a lead wire for soldering the piezoelectric vibrating chip and a sealing tube for air-tightly sealing the air-tight terminal with the piezoelectric vibrating chip placed thereon, an exciting electrode, a fixing electrode for bonding the lead wire and the piezoelectric vibrating chip, and a connecting electrode for electrically connecting the fixing electrode and the exciting electrode are formed on the piezoelectric vibrating chip and in the piezoelectric vibrator, at least a part of the connecting electrode positioned between the exciting electrode and the fixing electrode is formed from a metal layer having adverse wettability with the solder.
