<p>This invention provides a swaging method that can provide swaged products with high productivity. An extruder (11) and a two-split closed die (20) are provided. Split pieces (21, 21) of the closed die are mutually combined so that, in such a state that an extrusion material (1) is extruded through an extrusion port (15) in an extrusion nozzle (13) in the extruder (11), the front end part of the extrusion nozzle (13) is disposed within a cavity (25) of the closed die (20), whereby the closed die (20) is formed and, at the same time, holding parts (22, 22) provided respectively on both the split pieces (21, 21) cooperatively hold the extrusion material (1) therebetween. Next, while extruding the extrusion material (1) through the extrusion port (15) of the extrusion nozzle (13) by the extruder (11), in such a state that the extrusion material (1) is held by the holding parts (22, 22) of both the split pieces (21, 21), both the split pieces (21, 21) are moved forward of the extrusion direction of the extrusion material (1) at a lower speed than the extrusion speed, whereby the extrusion material (1) in its exposed part (2) exposed between the extrusion nozzle (13) in its extrusion port (15) and the holding part (22) in both the split pieces (21, 21) undergoes diameter expansion within a cavity (25).</p> |
