<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a larger linear driving force, in a linear motion actuator in which planetary rollers are made to revolve while rotating on their axis between a rotor shaft of an electric motor and an outer ring member and the rotating movement of the rotor shaft is converted into the linear motion of the planetary rollers. <P>SOLUTION: In a linear motion actuator in which planetary rollers 4 are made to revolve while rotating on their axis between a rotor shaft 2a of an electric motor 2 and an outer ring member 3 fixed at the outer circumference of the rotor shaft 2a and the rotating movement of the rotor shaft 2a is converted into the linear motion of the planetary rollers 4, the linear motion actuator is configured to be able to obtain a much larger linear driving force by forming grooves on outside circumferential surfaces of the planetary rollers 4 into which spiral protruding stripes on the inside diameter of the outer ring member 3 are fitted in shapes of spiral grooves 7 of the same pitches with spiral protruding stripes by different lead angles, and by making the linear displacement of the planetary rollers 4 with respect to the rotational amount of the rotor shaft 2a depend on the difference of the lead angles of the spiral grooves 7 and the spiral protruding stripes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
