An air conditioner with a heat exchanger connected to branch type of refrigerant distributors is provided to reduce and optimize length of branch pipes connecting a header to refrigerant for preventing decrease of pressure of the refrigerant by friction in pipes, and improving refrigerant circulation in a heat exchanger. An air conditioner includes a heat exchanger, an end of which is connected to a header and the other end is connected to a plurality of refrigerant distributors(30) by branch pipes(12), which connect a plurality of circuits(50). The distributors are branched by branch elements(25) such as branch valves, so that pass length of the branch pipes is reduced and rapid decrease of refrigerant pressure is prevented.
