<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which is capable of orienting fine particles even in a relatively small magnetic field and, moreover, is excellent in a light transmission property, and to provide a manufacturing method of the optical film. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film comprises at least: a matrix resin; weakly magnetic fine particles having an average particle size of ≤500 nm, which are added to the matrix resin and are oriented in one direction; and a polymer type dispersant which is added to the matrix resin, wherein the ratio of compounding of the weakly magnetic fine particles is ≥1 mass% and ≤20 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
