PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley having corrosion resistance equal to that of a pulley including a chromate film containing hexavalent chromium even if the hexavalent chromium is not contained. SOLUTION: The pulley is equipped with a stationary side inner ring, a rotary side outer ring and a rolling element arranged between both the inner and outer rings, and a belt guide 6 in which the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring is fitted and fixed to the outer peripheral surface thereof. A galvanized film 16 is formed on the surface of the belt guide 6. An anticorrosive coating 17 made up of a material expressed by the compositional formula of (xC<SB>2</SB>rO<SB>3</SB>yM<SB>a</SB>O<SB>b</SB>zH<SB>2</SB>O), where M is one element selected from a group consisting of Co, Si, Mn, V or P, is formed on the galvanized film 16.
