PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device by which tendency of music data being stored in a single portable terminal device is easily recognized, and to provide an information display method. SOLUTION: The music data and impression degree data of three or more items to show special features of these music data are stored on a terminal music data base 32, and an input for selecting two items among the impression degree data is received from a terminal operating section 35, and the impression degree data of selected two items are collected from the terminal music data base 32 by an impression degree data collecting section 37, then a two-dimensional music selection map 346 with the music data arranged thereon is created by a music selection map creating section 39 on the basis of the impression degree data of collected two items, and the created music selection map 346 is displayed on a terminal display section 34.
