The method involves accessing a data memory (2), which contains a part of a program code (8) by a technical unit that executes the program code. The technical unit has an arithmetic and logical unit, the memory and an interface unit to avoid reading of the program code due to structural characteristic of the technical unit when a write/read-protection-bit is set. The bit is simultaneously removed to irrecoverably delete the code.
