PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily manufacturing a developing blade in which burrs do not exist near contact area with a developing roll. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of manufacturing the developing blade equipped with a blade member along one end side of a supporting member; an upper mold 12 having an upper mold surface formed with a cavity 14 for molding the blade member and a gate 15 communicating with the cavity, and a lower mold 13 having a plane mold surface are used; the cavity is closed by a supporting member 2; the upper mold 12 and the lower mold 13 are subjected to mold mating and mold clamping in such a manner that the portion near the end side 2A of the supporting member 2 is held between the end of the cavity 14 of the upper mold 12 and the lower mold 13; and a molding material is poured in this state from the gate 15 into the cavity 14.
