PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for easily and certainly carrying out greening or vegetation of a dry/wet normal surface around a dam lake, lake, pond, etc., and to provide a vegetation material used for the construction method. SOLUTION: According to the vegetation construction method, a dry/wet normal surface 10 present around a dam lake, lake, pond, etc., is planted with straight-root special bamboos 20 through the following steps to green the dry/wet normal surface 10. The steps consist of (1) a step of forming planting surfaces 11, where planting the straight-root special bamboos 20 is possible, on the dry/wet normal surface 10, and (2) a step of planting the straight-root special bamboo 20 on each planting surface 11.
