PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system capable of improving the accuracy of information and reducing operation costs. SOLUTION: In the remote monitoring system, a remote monitoring center 7 connected to monitoring terminal apparatuses installed in a building group through communication lines comprises: a communication apparatus 8 for transmitting/receiving various information to/from the monitoring terminal apparatuses; an information input/output apparatus 9 for displaying/changing constitutional information such as the monitoring installation information of the monitoring terminal apparatuses and the communication line information of the monitoring terminal apparatuses; a transmission field specification part 10 for specifying a communication line used for the monitoring terminal apparatus to transmit information to the remote monitoring center 7 from an caller's number notification service and communication data; and an information recording part 11 for recording the constitutional information of the monitoring terminal apparatus, the applied telephone number and the change scheduled telephone number of the monitoring terminal apparatus: where a change operator previously registers the change scheduled telephone number of the monitoring terminal apparatus and the communication apparatus 8 in the remote monitoring center 7 transmits automatic voice notification for change completion to the change operator.
