PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a POS system, capable of storing a signed slip, receipt or the like as electronic data while adopting a conventional system for signing on a paper medium such as slip or receipt. SOLUTION: A receipt printed by the printer 10 and signed by a business customer is inserted from a slip paper insert port 21a, and an image of the receipt is read to generate receipt image data.
