PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing equipment of coated fuel particles for a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor comprising a reaction vessel which can maintain a favorable productivity without reducing a manufacturing quantity of coated fuel particles by maintaining a sub-criticality in coating layer forming process of fuel kernel consisting of a stuff with high uranium enrichment and ensuring a uniform fluidity in one batch manufacturing process. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing process of coated fuel particles for a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor, the reaction vessel 1 containing uranium-dioxide fuel kernel has at the upper part of gas discharge nozzle for jet-supplying coating stuff gas via a nozzle hole, a lower reaction region in funnel shape expanding upward in rectangular horizontal cross section and an upper reaction region 2 in a rectangular parallelepiped shape having a rectangular horizontal cross section connecting to the upper part of the lower reaction region. The lower reaction region 3 is partitioned with inclined inner wall surfaces positioning each in the short sides of the rectangular and nearly a fan-shaped inner wall surfaces positioning each in the long sides of the rectangular nearly in parallel to each other.
