<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent color shift due to the heating of a secondary transfer roller caused by performing double-sided printing in the midst of consecutive printing operation in an image forming apparatus which consecutively performs printing operation including the double-sided printing. <P>SOLUTION: When the double-sided printing is performed in the midst of the consecutive printing operation, the temperature of the secondary transfer roller is obtained from the number of performed double-sided printing times (step S4). The determining processing of the controlled variable of resist is performed based on the temperature of the secondary transfer roller obtained in such a way (step S5 and step S6). When the double-sided printing is consecutively performed and the temperature of the secondary transfer roller rises, the determining processing of the controlled variable of the resist is performed, so that the color shift is effectively prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
