<p>The invention relates to an electropneumatic converter meant to convert an electric current into pneumatic signal, for the control of the pneumatic actuators of automation installations. According to the invention, the electropneumatic converter with ferrofluid comprises a current amplifier (1), a current-pressure transducer (2) with ferrofluid, an intake for the air from the source (3), a flow rate amplifier (4) and an integrated pressure sensor (5). The current-pressure transducer (2) is provided with two supporting parts (6 and 7) made of a non-magnetic material which axially fix a magnetic core (8) with a central groove (9), the core being surrounded by a magnetization coil (10). A lower elastic membrane (11) and an upper elastic membrane (12) provided with a non-magnetic disk (13) are secured to the supporting parts (6 and 7) by means of two flanges (14 and 15), so that a ferrofluid (16) filling the entire available space between the two membranes (11 and 12) is tightly closed therein. The nozzle (17) of the current-pressure transducer is made of a soft magnetic material and is positioned in the vicinity of the non-magnetic disk (13) of the upper membrane (12).</p> |
